Question 1

What is AI CART?

Accepted Answer

AI CART is a future-facing agentic-commerce brand exploring AI agents buying from and transacting with other AI-enabled systems.

Question 2

What is AI Shopping Cards & WebMCP Studio?

Accepted Answer

It is the current pre-launch product concept associated with AI CART: a studio and middleware layer intended to convert merchant catalogue data into responsive product cards, structured JSON-LD and WebMCP-ready commerce objects.

Question 3

Who is AI Shopping Cards for?

Accepted Answer

It is designed for merchants ranging from independent creators to professional brands and enterprise teams that want products to be understood and actioned by AI assistants.

Question 4

Does it replace Wix, Shopify or an ERP?

Accepted Answer

No. It is designed to sit between the merchant’s existing catalogue system and agent-facing interfaces, translating heavy inventory data into a lighter, structured presentation layer.

Question 5

What card formats does the studio create?

Accepted Answer

The workspace includes an extra-large design preview and synchronises three deployment formats: a standard desktop card, a tall mobile swipe card and a compact inline micro-chip.

Question 6

Can customers buy inside an AI conversation?

Accepted Answer

Secure in-chat checkout is part of the planned backend phase. The architecture includes direct merchant payouts, idempotent payment handling and webhook confirmation, but these services should be described as operational only after deployment.

Question 7

What is WebMCP?

Accepted Answer

WebMCP is an emerging W3C Community Group draft API that allows web applications to expose JavaScript-based tools to compatible AI agents. The current draft uses document.modelContext.registerTool(); it should not yet be described as a completed W3C standard.

Question 8

Is AI Shopping Cards already working?

Accepted Answer

Yes—the supplied product builder and landing-page experience demonstrate a working interactive studio UI with synchronised previews and a code-inspector workflow. Production payments, live catalogue synchronisation, multi-tenant billing and public WebMCP deployment should still be described separately until Graham confirms those backend services are operational.

Question 9

Who created AI CART and AI Shopping Cards?

Accepted Answer

Both are associated with Graham Lawler. AI CART is the separate future-facing commerce brand; AI Shopping Cards & WebMCP Studio is the current pre-launch product concept within that work.
